DR. MASARU EMOTO IN SOUTH AFRICA SEPTEMBER 2006 Background & Information
Dr. Masaru Emoto visited South Africa for the first time from the 19-26th Septemeber.2006. This visit by Dr. Emoto to the continent was initiated and organized by ZERI-SA.
Approximately 1000 people attended the various events around the country – mainly in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The visit exposed children from underprivileged township schools to Dr. Emoto’s messages from water for the first time. Around 360 learners from various township schools attended the sacred water ceremony jointly hosted by The Two Oceans Aquarium and ZERI-SA. Dr. Emoto launched the Emoto-Project in Africa during the water ceremony at the aquarium. He handed out the publication ‘Messages from Water, children’s version to all the learners gathered at the aquarium for the event.
Dr.Emoto also gave a talk in Cape Town hosted by The Vineyard hotel. The Johannesburg event was initiated by a river ceremony at the Eco-city in Kayalami. The river that ran through the premises of the Eco-city was very aptly called Uri Gaia river in Zulu, meaning ‘speaking river’ The river is heavily polluted and infested with ecoli.
Led by Dr. Emoto, the group prayed to water chanting’ We love you water, We respect you water we Thank You water’ followed by a minute’s silent meditation projecting thoughts of love and gratitude to the river. The prayer closed with a Zulu chant and a Sanskrit healing chant.
The Goethe Institute event was the last and final event of Dr. Emoto and was the most crowded as well. A venue could take only a total of 140 but people were queuing up hoping to get cancellation eventually packing into the hall.
ZERISA is very grateful for all the sponsors assisting to make this event a success. It was a very big undertaking to take on for a small voluntary organization such as ZERI-SA and many willing individuals and institutions came forward to assist us in this event.
Post Script:
Immediately after the Emoto event I had to leave for India for personal reasons. I returned to South Africa in February 2007. I have received the photographs from IHM of the water crystals taken by Dr. Emoto during the South Africa trip. The pictures of the crystals are posted herewith.
